parts2Small, intricate, or hard-to-machine shapes can be produced much more efficiently with the investment casting process. By using a wax impression mold, elaborate and expensive tooling (such as multiple or progressive dies) can be avoided when producing parts with unusual designs or with complex internal configurations.

Often several machined parts may be combined into one casting, eliminating or greatly reducing other labor intensive operations such as welding, assembly, and finishing work (reducing cost up to 80%!). Because each part is formed from the same master mold, each finished part is virtually identical. For many parts, you can achieve higher quality, more detail, greater consistency and better repeatability than traditional metal forming methods.

Investment castings are ideally suited for both long and short runs. Using our wax printer with a supplied CAD file, we can supply prototype parts in one to two weeks. The prototype parts can be used for product testing before a master mold is made. Prototype parts can also be used when just a few parts are needed for designing new sample equipment.
